Vicki Weiden | Boston



Vicki brings over 20 years of experience in pharmaceutical marketing, strategic planning, commercial development, financial market analytics.

Vicki began her career as a Research Assistant in AIDS research at the Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center in New York City. After receiving her MBA, she transitioned her career focus to the business side of the healthcare environment as an executive with Pfizer. At Pfizer she demonstrated the ability to assess business needs, formulate strategy and translate strategic direction and analysis to an executable leven that positively impacted revenues and achieved stated goals. As a highly effective leader, she successfully managed a high-performing, cross-functional team of approximately 15 members and managed a full budget. In her recent role as an Independent Consultant, Vicki has provided insightful advice and support for the business development, commercial development and pre-launch planning for various healthcare and life science companie4s. Through her various positions, Vicki has garnered knowledges of research and development, clinical trials, the regulatory environment, sales and lifecycle planning.

Highlights of her work include:

  • Led the Commercial Operations of the Zoloft US $2 Billion franchise:  Achieved 10+% sales growth for three consecutive years, exceeding forecast estimates; maintained Zoloft leadership in the face of the first SSRI generic competitor entering the market

  • Spearheaded market research, development, launch, and management of branded consumer campaign in depression and anxiety: Realized double-digit return on investment; ranked as one of 10 best Pharmaceutical DTC campaigns (2013)

  • Formulated business plan focused on building partnerships and generating growth opportunities

for Healthcare Technology Systems, plan endorsed my management

  • As a member of the launch team, coordinated financial and contractual support for the successful launch of Pfizer’s first co-promote product, Aricept, exceeding launch forecast expectations

  • Built and fostered mutually respectful relationships with thought leaders, advocacy organizations and patients; significant experience in developing and implementing strategic KOL plans

Additionally, Vicki has experience in Development and Fundraising.  Projects include creating Business Plans and materials for non-profits, co-chairing events that raised over $1.5MM and leading the development of communications strategy.

Vicki holds an MBA from the New York University (NYU)  - Leonard N. Stern School of Business, an MS from NYU -Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, and a BA from NYU -Washington Square University College.

Vicki has a great interest in American History, especially learning about the Presidents - as such thoroughly enjoys volunteering at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum.
